Case Summary

In 2018, the WRC conducted an assessment of compliance with labor rights standards at League Central America (LCA), a garment factory located El Salvador that is owned and operated by the US apparel brand known as L2 Brands (dba League Collegiate Wear). The assessment found violations with regard to wages and hours of work; religious freedom; verbal harassment and abuse; discrimination against workers who are members of the LGBTQ community; and occupational health and safety.

In response to the WRC’s investigation and engagement with the parent company, the factory agreed to remedy all violations.

The WRC conducted a separate investigation following a violation that occurred in December 2022, in which a worker who had reported sexual harassment was let go in the months following her filing of this complaint. Again, in response to an investigation by the WRC and engagement with the parent company, L2 Brands, the factory agreed to remedy the violation by reinstating the worker and making payment of back wages.
