The WRC undertook its compliance assessment of INSINCA pursuant its role as the independent monitor for the City and County of San Francisco, California. The WRC, with the support of the Centro de Estudios y Apoyo Laboral, conducted offsite interviews and, in September 2013, visited the factory to carry out an onsite inspection of the factory, meet with management and review documentary evidence. The WRC’s assessment at INSINCA found violations in the areas of wages and hours, statutory paid leave, freedom of association and occupational health and safety.
