WRC University Caucus Meeting, April 18
April 2, 2018
Dear Colleagues,
We are looking forward to seeing you at the WRC University Caucus Meeting on Wednesday, April 18.
Please review the agenda for the meeting here. We’ll be discussing a range of vital subjects, including sexual harassment and gender discrimination in the garment sector, respect for associational rights in Central America, and the state of worker safety in Bangladesh on the 5th anniversary of the Rana Plaza building collapse. We’ll also review a number of key investigations at collegiate factories and we’ll provide updates on broader organizational work.
We’re pleased to have a great group of guest speakers, including representatives of Gildan Activewear and Fruit of the Loom; the new CEO of Alta Gracia; senior staff of the Bangladesh Accord; and fashion model Sara Ziff, who will talk about the battle against workplace harassment in the fashion business.
As always, there will be ample time for discussion.
The meeting will take place at the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies, at 640 Massachusetts Ave., NW. You can see a map of the area, and the meeting location, on Google Maps at this link. Please have a photo ID upon arrival, as this will need to be presented at the front security desk.
If you have any questions about meeting logistics, please contact Lynnette Dunston [email protected] or at 202-387-4884. If you have any questions about the agenda or discussion topics, please contact me.
Best,
Scott
