Results of WRC Board Election

April 17, 2018

Dear Colleagues,

The special election process for the open University Caucus seat on the WRC Board of Directors is now concluded. I am pleased to announce that Alixe Holcomb, Director of Trademarks and Licensing at the University of Arizona, has been elected to the Board. Alixe will hold the A Category seat (this seat is open to representatives of institutions with licensing revenues above $1,000,000).

Over the past several years, Alixe has worked hard to educate the University of Arizona’s administration about the importance that corporate social responsibility efforts play in the University’s mission and has played a key role in ongoing conversations with major licensees about the importance of code compliance. We look forward to working with Alixe in her new role.

Alixe was the sole nominee for the open seat and was therefore elected by acclamation under the University Caucus election procedures. Her term will run through June 30, 2018. A new election for this seat, for the term running from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2020, will be held in June, as part of the WRC’s usual spring Board elections.

Best,

Scott
