WRC Board Elections (Results)

letterhead

Dear Colleagues,

The annual election process for University Caucus seats on the WRC Board of Directors is now concluded. I am pleased to announce that:

-Dawn Crim of the University of Wisconsin-Madison will be joining the WRC Board of Directors as a University Caucus representative from the A Category institutions (universities and colleges with annual licensing revenues in excess of $1 million).  Dawn is the Director for Community Relations in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for University Relations at Wisconsin. Dawn has been a leader on code of conduct and labor rights issues for many years and we are very pleased that she will be bringing her knowledge, experience and commitment to the WRC Board.

-LaMarr Billups, Assistant Vice-President of Business Policy Planning at Georgetown University, has been reelected to the Board. LaMarr holds the B/C Category seat (this seat is open to institutions with licensing revenues below $100,000 and institutions with revenues between $100,000 and $1 million). LaMarr has made extraordinary contributions to the WRC’s work during his years on the Board and we are deeply appreciative of his continued service.

Both Dawn and LaMarr were the sole nominees for their respective seats and, once the nomination period closed, were therefore elected by acclamation under the University Caucus election procedures. Their terms run until the autumn of 2012. We look forward to working with both of them over the next two years.

Best,

Scott
