Russell/Fruit of the Loom Signs Bangladesh Accord

Dear Colleagues,

Yesterday, Fruit of the Loom, owner of Russell Athletic, signed the Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh. This makes Russell the fourth licensee (after Knights Apparel, adidas and Top of the World) to join the agreement. 

We welcome this important step by Fruit of the Loom. As a major US-based apparel company that does substantial sourcing in Bangladesh, its participation will strengthen the Accord’s efforts to protect the safety of Bangladeshi garment workers.
