WRC Update: New Affiliates and Board Elections

Dear Colleagues,
I write to share two organizational updates:
- New Affiliates: As you may know, the WRC gained a number of new affiliate universities last year, including the University of Texas. I am pleased to report that we have several new affiliates through the early part of 2013. These include:
University of Kentucky
Temple University
Dartmouth College
Emerson College
We welcome these new affiliates and look forward to working with them to protect the rights of the workers who make university logo products.
- This year’s election for University Caucus seats on the WRC Board of Directors is now concluded. There was one nominee for each of the seats up for election and, by rule, the nominees are therefore elected by acclamation. The results were as follows:
The A Category Seat will be held by Jim Wilkerson, Director of Trademark Licensing at Duke University.
The B Category Seat will be held by Marybeth Schmutz, Assistant Director of Trademark Licensing at Rutgers University.
The C Category Seat will be held by Mike Powers, Senior Director for University Communications at Cornell University.
We congratulate Jim, Marybeth and Mike and look forward to working with them over the next two years.
