February 6, 2017

Dear Colleagues,

The special election process for the open University Caucus seat on the WRC Board of Directors is now concluded. I am pleased to announce that Kyle Muncy, Associate Director of Athletics/Strategic Communications and Brand Management at the University of Connecticut, has been elected to the Board. Kyle will hold the B Category seat (this seat is open to representatives of institutions with licensing revenues between $100,000 and $999,999). Kyle is in his sixth year in the Trademark Licensing office at the University of Connecticut and his 23rd year overall at the University. In his current role, he monitors all usage of the UConn brand and manages the relationships with nearly 200 licensees in conjunction with the Collegiate Licensing Company. He also serves as a part of the University team managing the relationship with two key partners in Barnes & Noble and Nike. In addition, Kyle sits as a member of the President’s Committee on Social Responsibility at UConn, a standing committee tasked by the University President to work with students, staff, faculty, and the community on issues across a wide range of topics.

Kyle was the sole nominee for the open seat and was therefore elected by acclamation under the University Caucus election procedures. His term will run through June 30, 2017, at which point a new election will be held for the term running from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019. We congratulate Kyle and look forward to working with him in his new role.

Best,

Scott
