Join me in Atlanta!

Dear Colleagues,

I hope you will join me in Atlanta for the Annual Meeting of the Worker Rights Consortium’s University Caucus on April 25th. Every year, this gathering provides an opportunity for those of us managing licensing and supply chain compliance at our universities to focus on the most salient issues facing the workers who produce our licensed products. As the WRC Board Chair, I have been hearing throughout the year about the dedicated work of the WRC staff grappling with deep challenges of addressing the risk of severe violations of the codes our universities have put in place to protect these workers and the integrity of our institutions.

After two years of remote meetings, I am glad we can come together in person to hear from the WRC staff, licensees who have stepped up to counter wage theft, and invited guests. Whether you are grappling with the implications of the new Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act or curious to learn more about how $58 million could have been stolen from workers in Karnataka, India, this meeting will offer you the opportunity to learn something new, that you can integrate into your work and share with leaders on campus, and to ask questions of the WRC’s knowledgeable staff.

Whether you are joining the CLC Collegiate Licensing Seminar or coming to Atlanta just for the day, we look forward to seeing you there. Please register to join us—and please drop a line to me or WRC Deputy Director Jessica Champagne if you have any questions or thoughts about what you’d like to discuss at the meeting.

We’ll be meeting on April 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly. If you’d like, you can book a room through this discounted room block.

See you in Atlanta!

Best,

Rachel Duffy
Chair of the WRC Board of Directors
