February 24, 2023

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that Kelly Fay Rodríguez, the United States Special Representative for International Labor Affairs, will be joining us at the Worker Rights Consortium’s Annual Meeting on March 24.

Special Representative Fay Rodríguez leads the US State Department’s work promoting workers’ rights around the world and elevating worker rights considerations in bilateral and multilateral diplomacy. She is internationally recognized for her work on labor issues. Prior to being appointed to this key position at the State Department, she served as Trade and Labor Oversight Counsel for the Ways and Means Committee of the House of Representatives, where she both oversaw work on all US trade agreements, policies, and programs and co-led staff for the Committee’s Racial Equity Initiative on health and economic issues. Special Representative Fay Rodriguez previously worked for the Solidarity Center, most recently managing the flagship program in Bangladesh, and at the AFL-CIO.

Thank you to all who have already RSVP’d to join us in Washington, DC, to hear from Special Representative Fay Rodríguez and from our team about key current issues affecting workers in university supply chains. If you haven’t yet, please RSVP here!

Best,

Scott Nova and Jessica Champagne

P.S. The room blocks at the Beacon Hotel and the Grand Hyatt Washington end soon—remember to book your hotels for the meeting!
